Essex Together/NJT leaders Support the "Yes in God's Back Yard" Campaign for More Affordable Housing

On Monday May 5th, 20 leaders from Essex Together/NJ Together congregations and allies attended the Montclair Planning Board to support the "Yes In God's Back Yard" (YIGBY) plan. Leaders representing six local congregations gave powerful testimonies about the need for housing and why allowing affordable housing on faith-based properties is so important. Essex Together leaders met one another, learned more about this process, issue, and got a sense of where public officials are in their support.

This effort will continue until YIGBY is approved and the affordable housing can be built.
