On August 31, 2020, New Jersey Together announced a push to end the suspension of drivers' licenses for 'failure to pay' & 'failure to appear' in New Jersey. This practice affects hundreds of thousands of New Jerseyans each year, and it disproportionately impacts low-income people and people of color.

States across the United States have ended these practices with bi-partisan support. We expect the state legislature to draft a bill in the near future.
